Abstract

A simple, solvent free, highly efficient and eco-friendly protocol for the synthesis of tetrahydrobenzo[c] xanthene-8-ones derivatives using novel ionic liquid; L-pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid sulfate (LPCAS) as a catalyst has been reported. Important features of this methodology are excellent yield of products, cleaner reaction profile, environmentally friendly and the inexpensive catalyst.

Keywords
